Promotion Terms and Conditions
- The Able WA Reviewer Promotion is open only to individuals/carer’s who are 18 years old or over. Participants must be able to provide proof of such eligibility if requested.
- The promotion will run until 30/06/2023.
- The selected reviewer will be provided up to $500 via redemption, with submitted tax invoices, to cover the costs of travel, dining, entertainment, and any associated support worker costs. Redemptions will be processed only upon submission and verification of the relevant tax invoices.
- The reviewer must conduct a minimum of 3 reviews: a park, a restaurant, and an entertainment precinct, additional reviews are welcomed.
- Able WA must pre-approve the locations to be reviewed.
- The reviewer must provide Able WA with a written review and photographs of each location. The review should include details about atmosphere, facilities, parking, and accessibility.
- Each review should use the following rating system: Accessibility (1-5 stars), Facilities (1-5 stars), Quality of Offerings (1-5 stars), Safety Measures (1-5 stars), and Community Integration (1-5 stars). - The reviewer will be publicly acknowledged and tagged in all shared reviews.
- To be eligible for selection, individuals must like the promotional Facebook post, share the post with 3 friends who have or care for a person with a disability, and all four individuals must like the Able WA Facebook page.
- The reviewer for July 2023 will be selected at random on the 30/06/2023.
- If the selected reviewer is unable to fulfill the duties required, Able WA reserves the right to select another participant.
- The reviews must take place during the month of July 2023 and the reviewer should be available during this period.
- To receive the offered compensation, reviewers must submit complete reviews, relevant photographs from the visit, and relevant tax invoices for redemption.
- Able WA reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- All entries become the property of Able WA. As such, Able WA is the owner of all copyright and other intellectual property in the winning responses.
- Able WA reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion at any time without prior notice.
- In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Promotion, the decision of Able WA shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
- Rating Criteria
Accessibility: The reviewer should rate the accessibility of the location based on the following scale:
[ ] 1 star: There are no ramps, lifts or elevators for wheelchair access, no braille signage for the visually impaired.
[ ] 2 stars: There’s a ramp for wheelchair access, but it’s not well-maintained or steep. No other accessibility features.
[ ] 3 stars: Ramps and elevators available for wheelchair access, but no accessible parking or braille signage for the visually impaired.
[ ] 4 stars: Accessible parking, ramps, elevators, and braille signage are available, but paths may not be clear or navigation can be challenging.
[ ] 5 stars: Accessible parking, ramps, elevators, clear paths, braille signage for the visually impaired, and sensory-friendly spaces for individuals with sensory sensitivities are available.
Facilities: The reviewer should rate the facilities at the location based on the following scale:
[ ] 1 star: No accessible restrooms or other disability-specific facilities.
[ ] 2 stars: Accessible restrooms are available but not well-maintained, or other facilities are lacking.
[ ] 3 stars: Accessible restrooms and seating, but lacks adjustable tables, sensory-friendly spaces, or other necessary amenities.
[ ] 4 stars: Accessible restrooms, seating, tables, and sensory-friendly spaces are available and well-maintained.
[ ] 5 stars: All necessary facilities including accessible restrooms, seating, adjustable tables, sensory-friendly spaces, and quiet areas are available, well-maintained, and easily accessible.
Quality of Offerings: The reviewer should rate the quality of offerings at the location based on the following scale:
[ ] 1 star: Offerings are not enjoyable or are lacking in quality, food is not tasty or well-presented, entertainment is limited or unengaging.
[ ] 2 stars: Offerings are basic, food is satisfactory but not memorable, limited entertainment options.
[ ] 3 stars: Good offerings, food is tasty and well-presented, some engaging entertainment options.
[ ] 4 stars: Great offerings, food is delicious and well-presented, entertainment is varied and engaging.
[ ] 5 stars: Outstanding offerings, food is exceptional and presented beautifully, entertainment is varied, high-quality, and enjoyable for a wide range of tastes and interests.
Safety Measures: The reviewer should rate the safety measures at the location based on the following scale:
[ ] 1 star: The environment poses several safety hazards for individuals with disabilities, such as poorly lit areas, absence of handrails, or tripping hazards.
[ ] 2 stars: The environment has some safety hazards but is generally safe for individuals with disabilities. Some areas may not be well-lit or lack necessary handrails.
[ ] 3 stars: The environment is relatively safe for individuals with disabilities with minor safety concerns. Most areas are well-lit, and necessary handrails are available.
[ ] 4 stars: The environment is safe for individuals with disabilities. All areas are well-lit, handrails are present where needed, and there are minimal tripping hazards.
[ ] 5 stars: The environment is very safe for individuals with disabilities. All areas are well-lit, handrails are available and well-maintained, there are no tripping hazards, and additional safety measures like lifeguards at swimming pools are present.
Community Integration: The reviewer should rate how well the location encourages community integration, based on the following scale:
[ ] 1 star: The venue does not encourage interaction and inclusion among visitors of all abilities. There are no events catering to individuals with disabilities.
[ ] 2 stars: The venue somewhat encourages interaction and inclusion, but there are very few events catering to individuals with disabilities.
[ ] 3 stars: The venue encourages interaction and inclusion. There are some events catering to individuals with disabilities, and spaces for people of all abilities to interact are present.
[ ] 4 stars: The venue actively encourages interaction and inclusion. There are regular events catering to individuals with disabilities, and numerous spaces for people of all abilities to interact.
[ ] 5 stars: The venue is exemplary in encouraging interaction and inclusion. There are frequent, diverse events catering to individuals with disabilities. The venue has a variety of spaces for people of all abilities to interact, fostering a truly inclusive environment.
